Peter Drucker

Peter Drucker was an Austrian-born American citizen who was an influential management consultant, educator, and author. Known as the founder of modern management, his work touched the management practices of the world and revolutionized the graduate management programs in the United States.

Peter Drucker was born in Vienna, Austria to well-off parents. His home was known to be the gathering place of Austrian intellectuals, officials, and scientists to discuss their musings.

After graduating from college, Drucker moved to Germany and became a journalist. While there he earned his doctorate in international and public law at the University of Frankfurt. He then moved to London and held jobs in insurance, banking, education, and as a freelance writer.
In 1943 Drucker moved to the United States and became a naturalized citizen. He started working at Claremont Graduate University developing the country’s first MBA programs for working professionals.

Drucker has won numerous awards for his work in the field of management and his contributions to management education. He is recognized across the world as a major contributor to the way businesses are run today. Through his hard work, dedication, and education he was able to become the expert in the thing he was passionate about.
